About Liz Hoffmann

Upon receiving my shiatsu certification from the Ohashi Institute in 1994, I opened my full time practice. Shiatsu studies brought me full circle in my study of Asia, which began with an interest in Asian philosophy. First exposed to shiatsu during intensive training in shotokan karate, I began studying at the Ohashi Institute in New York in 1987.

I enhance my shiatsu effectiveness with reflexology and aromatherapy, which I studied at the International Institute of Reflexology and the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy. I see clients of all ages, including pregnant women, in New Jersey, Washington, DC and New York.

I live holistically with my son and enjoy hiking, dancing, gardening and cooking.
Before pursuing my holistic career, I graduated from Georgetown University with a BS in Japanese. I worked for Nissho Iwai American Corporation for 10 years and studied and worked in Japan for 3 years.
